Drone Your Own is a marketplace that connects clients who need aerial drone work with FAA-certified drone pilots.

Account information: when you register as a client or pilot, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and password. Pilots also provide professional details such as FAA certification information, insurance details, drone equipment, and business address.

Transaction information: when you post jobs, make offers, or pay for work, we collect details about the job, offers, amounts, and payment status. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor (Stripe) and are not stored on our servers.

Content you provide: messages, project files, uploaded photos and videos, reviews, and information you submit through forms.

Usage information: we may automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location where you enable it (for example, to find nearby jobs).

We use your information to operate and improve the Service, including to: create and manage your account; match clients with pilots; process payments and hold funds in escrow until work is approved; enable messaging and file delivery; send transactional emails (such as job, offer, payment, and payout notifications); provide customer support; prevent fraud and abuse; and comply with legal obligations.

With other users: to facilitate a job, we share relevant profile and job details between the client and pilot involved (for example, a client sees an applying pilot's professional profile).

With service providers: we share information with vendors who help us operate the Service, including Stripe (payments and payouts), Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), SendGrid (transactional email), and our media/hosting providers. These providers process information on our behalf.

For legal reasons: we may disclose information to comply with the law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, and safety of our users and others.

We do not sell your personal information.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account as described below.
